Pizza Hut to Send Fans to Indianapolis to Attempt Backwards Half-Court Shot for $1 Million

Pizza Hut March Madness million dollar stuffed crust shot

Ocean, New Jersey (March 31st, 2015) – On Sunday, April 5th, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Stuffed Crust Pizza, Pizza Hut will host a $1 million backwards half-court challenge between the NCAA semi- finals and championship game at the Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Partnering with Olson, Synergy will help facilitate the event. Fans from across the country have had the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a spot in the contest by visiting www.stuffedcrustshot.com. Three winners, chosen at random, will be announced March 31st and a fourth winner will be chosen from the crowd at the event. The live event, hosted by college basketball analyst Jay Williams, will kick off at 4:00PM where each competitor will have one attempt at making the backwards shot.

"Making half-court shots has become a little too commonplace, so as we upped the ante 20 years ago by stuffing cheese inside pizza crust, we're doing it again by challenging America to make a half-court shot backwards," said Jared Drinkwater, vice president of marketing, in a statement. "The great thing is that even if you won't be in Indianapolis, you still have a shot at this $1 million prize. We can't wait to see what happens on April 5."
