Jim Courier Previews 2014 US Open with Fox & Friends

New York, NY (August 25th, 2014) On Monday, August 25th, The Tennis Channel helped introduce the 2014 US Open on Fox & Friends as well as kick off the relationship between the Tennis Channel and Fox Business. Alongside Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy, Jim Courier, four time Grand Slam champion and Tennis Hall of Famer, previewed the Open with his top picks. Courier announced his favorites; Serena Williams on the women’s side and Roger Federer for the men’s.

To kick off the tournament, Fox & Friends challenged Courier to a quick, mini tennis match on a custom US Open tennis court that Synergy created for the broadcast.

About the US Open

The US Open is a two-week tournament which is held every August and September at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Players compete in Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Tennis matches occur during the day (day session starts at 11:00a.m.) and at night (night session starts at 7:00p.m.) on most days of the tournament, and are held in several venues within the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
