Declaring Peace at the Serta Comfort Corner

Serta Comfort Corner in NYC provided a pop-up bedroom oasis for New Yorkers to relax

It’s time for a “time-out.”

Research from Serta found that Americans spend less than one hour per day feeling at peace and relaxed.  That’s why the brand and agency partner Zeno Group launched the “Declare Peace” campaign, encouraging people to take time to unwind, and to showcase that there is no place better than the bedroom to find complete comfort.

Through June 16, Serta is asking fans to visit DeclarePeace.com or share

on social media using #SertaPeace how they’ll take time out to relax and reclaim their bedroom.  Those who participate will be entered to win a host of prizes, including a bedroom makeover.

To kick-off the campaign, Synergy was engaged to develop the Serta Comfort Corner, a relaxing bedroom setting at New York City’s Big Screen Plaza.  There, consumers had the chance to step away from the hustle of everyday life and go into the Comfort Corner to Declare Peace in their own way, by taking a nap, listening to music, reading, or sitting quietly with their thoughts.  Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler was also on hand for media interviews and to engage with consumers.

“Between work, travels and being a mom, my days are busy and overwhelming – and it can be really challenging to press pause and be in the moment,” said Sigler in a press release.  “I am excited to partner with Serta to remind us that we all need to make time to find peace, relax and rejuvenate.  And there’s no better place to do that than in the comfort of your own bed.”

Synergy managed all aspects of the experience, including the design and development of the Comfort Corner bedroom sanctuary.
